Jason Miyamoto, born May 23, 1975 in Santa Clara, California to Olen and Florence Miyamoto, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 in Houston, Texas.

Jason is survived by his parents, Olen and Florence Miyamoto; brothers, Max and Chris Miyamoto as well as the entire extended Miyamoto family.

Having grown up in Humble, Texas, Jason attended college in Austin yet spent the majority of his life here in Houston. Jason was an exceptionally talented chef in and around the Houston area. He was always an extremely hard worker and tenaciously dedicated to succeed at everything he did. He definitely touched the hearts and souls of many people through his fight against cancer. He was well liked and loved by many.

Honored to serve as Jason's pallbearers are his dear friends Marty Walsh, Brian Pepper, Eric Nelson, Mike McGuire, Chad Desormeaux and Eric Holmes.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Philip P. Lloyd at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 6622 Haskell Street in Houston's Memorial Park. The Rite of Committal will follow at Glenwood Cemetery at 2525 Washington Ave. in Houston.

Following the committal, all are invited to a reception at Public House Heights, 2802 White Oak, Suite 100.
